Doulas are a wonderful addition to the birthing team. As Doulas, we do not make any medical decisions or perform any medical examinations. We are there to provide the labouring woman and her partner(s) with valuable information regarding thier experience, provide support through emotional and physical comfort during the various stages of labour and protect the environment of ‘labour land’ from outside distractions.
